A few radio interviews
Over the weekend we have been not just one but two radio shows. For those who have missed them they are now available online to listen again..
The first, Richard Moran's show on Gateway fm, was an interview with Gareth followed by a play of Sugarglass. Listen again online
The second was on Radio Wales during a feature on the Andy Walton show celebrating unknown artists and groups from South Wales. Listen again online , it starts at 2.17.32 - "there are bands in Wales whose sonic density would refuse to let black holes envelop them ..... Blue Gillespie is one of them" - nice! We were aparently one of only thirty bands selected for this feature.

Review in Kerrang
There has been an awesome review of Synesthesia published in this weeks copy of Kerrang. To see a scanned copy of the article follow the link
For those of you wanting the clean text, here goes:
Blue Gillespie
Synesthesia
(Self-released)
KKKK
Seething malevolent progressive metal from Newport quartet with the massive roaming riffs of Mastodon and the surprisingly menacing and spiteful gruff vocals of Gareth David-Lloyd (best known for playing Ianto Jones in Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood), Newport's Blue Gillespie are onto a winner here with this, their debut album.
They'd be a formidable prospect as a straight-up metal band, but this lot are clever as well as talented. Their spacious, intricate use of dynamics allows the music to breathe and gives it an almost Tool-like epic, ethereal quality. As atmospheric and moody as it is towering, heavy and visceral, Synesthesia stands tall as that all too rare a beast; a genuinely intelligent and progressive metal album.
If you like sophistication as well as ferocity in your music then rejoice, you've just found your favourite new band.
